Welcome back everyone! Read along as we cruise into Week 4 of our program! It’s been an exciting week and there is still more to come!
REGATTA UPDATE
Our 420 Race Team headed to Four Sister’s this past weekend, for their first regatta of the season. It was many of our sailors first times sailing on Lake Ontario, and they survived! We had a super fun weekend! While we maybe are not at breeding Olympians at SLSC just yet, we are breeding kids who persevere. We’re so proud of our team’s efforts. Up next Cottage Clubs! Our race team is hopeful for not only a W but also a chance to bring our beloved Santa back to his rightful home… watch out LOB!!!!
TUESDAY MOVIE NIGHT
It’s movie night at SLSC tonight! Come down to the club at 6:30pm tonight and join us for a movie! The movie costs $2, and candy will be sold. If you’re 13 or older join us afterwards for a horror movie screening! Some of the instructors can barely handle it, so make sure you’re nerves are up to par!
WEDNESDAY FUN DAY + PIZZA LUNCH
It’s Christmas in July! Our Fun Day this week is Christmas themed! Fitting that this Fun Day falls on half Christmas Eve. Our sailors will hunt for Santa, get milk and cookies, and if they’re on the Nice List, maybe even some presents from Santa! Wednesday is also Pizza Lunch. Pizza is included in registration, and pickup will be at 1pm to account for eating time!
FRIDAY NIGHT DANCE
SLSC will be turned Animal House this weekend, as the Toga Dance takes place! It’s a classic, and we love it. The dance will be from 7-9pm on Friday Night. It costs $2, and pop and candy will be sold! We can’t wait to see everyone in their best Greek-inspired outfits!
SATURDAY NIGHT GALA
This Saturday night is the bi-annual SLSC NON-GALA GALA!!!!! It’s parents night out at the Sailing Club this Saturday! While your kids have been living it up at the dance on Friday night, it’s your turn to have some fun!!!!!!! Parents, bring your friends but not your kids! The Gala will run from 7pm-late, with both silent and live auctions at 8pm. Dancing is to follow of course!!! Wine, beer and snacks will also be served. The Non-Gala Gala is by donation, and donations make our club run! New boats, new parts, new buildings even are possible with the help of our many generous donors. It’s going to be an amazing night, so we hope to see you all there!
