On the evening of July 10, 2010, SLSC will celebrate the 54th season of Sailing on Sturgeon Lake with a fundraising cocktail and beach party at the Swannanoa boathouse and out on the sandbar. A suggested donation of $40.00 per person will get you a tax receipt and the gratitude of many young sailors as we look to raise some money to expand our fledgling fleet of Optimist dinghies. Our newest addition to the Optimist fleet, named in honour of Mary Prendergast, will be christened and we will have some memorabilia from the early years, all to add to the fun and fellowship and laughs and good company and beach outfits and Uncle Peter’s punch and some nibblies and maybe some other good things that you will need to be there to experience. An invitation is extended to our supporters and friends and families to spend a great evening with us while the Sailing Club kids are all off rocking to the tunes of the Friday Night Dance, this week to be held on Saturday.
